Volunteering at CUB

At Communities Under the Bridge, we believe service is one of the ways God reveals His love in the world. As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12, though there are many parts, we are one body — each with gifts meant for the good of others. Every volunteer helps extend that love through practical care: sharing meals, offering clothing, and showing kindness to those in need. We invite you to begin this journey by completing the volunteer interest form below. A CUB staff member will follow up to learn more about your interests and help you find where you can serve best.

Expectations and Guidelines

We want to equip you to serve well at Communities Under the Bridge. As Paul urged the church in Corinth, “that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought” (1 Cor 1:10 NIV). Serving in unity helps us reflect the light of the Gospel. Please review our general guidelines using the link below, then join us for an in-person training where we’ll talk through them together and explore volunteer opportunities that fit you best.

CUB volunteers are saying…

“A wonderful place to serve the needs of the less fortunate in our beautiful city."
Sharon Newman, CUB Volunteer
“Volunteering at CUB seems like it would only be a blessing to those we are serving, but I feel it honestly blesses me more! The experience is far beyond handing over clothing and hygiene items to those in need - it is an opportunity to reflect the love that God has for every single one of us. I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve joyfully in this program that seeks to improve the lives of those in the heart of San Antonio.”
Joy Hamann, CUB Volunteer
“A one-of-a-kind church serving our community. Amazing people - such humility, mercy and care!”
Irina Solovyova, CUB Volunteer
